If you register a minor athlete, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and are the athlete's parent, legal guardian, or otherwise legally authorized to register the athlete and agree to applicable terms on the athlete's behalf.

1. About Breakaway

Breakaway Girls Hockey provides hockey development programs, camps, clinics, training resources, educational content, memberships, virtual experiences, and related services primarily designed to support female hockey players, families, and coaches.

  • Breakaway Athletes;

  • Recruiting and hockey-pathway education;

  • Athlete development resources;

  • Challenges and activities;

  • Member-only experiences or resources; and

  • Other benefits announced by Breakaway.

5. Breakaway Athletes Subscription & Automatic Renewal

Members who purchase online will be provided an online method for managing or cancelling their membership where required and available through the applicable platform.

Cancellation instructions will be provided during enrollment and/or through the membership or account interface.

After cancellation, membership benefits may remain available through the end of the already-paid billing period unless otherwise stated.

You are responsible for cancelling before your next billing date if you do not want your membership to renew.

7. Founding Athlete Membership

Registration for a Breakaway camp, clinic, event, or other in-person program is subject to:

  • Availability;

  • Completion of registration information;

  • Required waivers and releases;

  • Emergency and medical information;

  • Applicable parent or guardian permissions; and

  • Compliance with program rules.

Breakaway may establish participant limits and may close registration once capacity is reached.

Registration is not considered complete until required payment and registration materials have been received.

9. Camp and Event Changes

Hockey programs depend on rink availability, staffing, travel, facility operations, weather, enrollment, and circumstances that may be outside Breakaway's control.

Breakaway therefore reserves the right to reasonably modify:

  • Schedules;

  • Ice times;

  • Coaches or staff;

  • Training activities;

  • Program format;

  • Facility or rink location; or

  • Other operational details.

If Breakaway must cancel an entire program, participants will receive information regarding applicable refunds, credits, rescheduling, or other options.

Changes to coaches, schedules, programming, or similar operational details do not automatically constitute cancellation of the program.

10. Refund and Cancellation Policy

Refund and cancellation terms applicable to camps, clinics, events, memberships, merchandise, or other purchases may vary by offering.

Parents and guardians are responsible for determining whether their athlete is medically and physically able to participate and for communicating relevant medical conditions, injuries, allergies, limitations, or accommodations to Breakaway where appropriate.

Digital workouts, exercises, training plans, and development resources provided by Breakaway are for general athletic-development and educational purposes and are not medical advice, physical therapy, or individualized medical treatment.

Participants should stop an activity if they experience pain, dizziness, difficulty breathing, or other concerning symptoms and seek appropriate medical attention when necessary.

Participation in an in-person Breakaway program may require acceptance of a separate Participant Waiver and Release of Liability.

12. No Guarantee of Athletic Results

Breakaway provides development opportunities, coaching, training resources, and educational information.

We do not guarantee:

  • Selection for a particular team;

  • Advancement to a particular hockey level;

  • Athletic scholarships;

  • Recruitment by a school or organization;

  • College admission;

  • College hockey placement;

  • Professional opportunities;

  • Specific improvements in performance;

  • Specific playing time; or

  • Any particular athletic outcome.

Athlete development depends on numerous factors outside Breakaway's control.

Recruiting and pathway resources provided through Breakaway are educational and informational unless a specific service expressly states otherwise.

13. Athlete and Parent Conduct

Breakaway is committed to creating a competitive, respectful, safe, and supportive environment.

Participants and families are expected to treat athletes, coaches, staff, officials, rink employees, volunteers, and other families respectfully.

Breakaway may address behavior including harassment, bullying, discrimination, threats, violence, unsafe conduct, inappropriate communications, deliberate disruption, or other conduct inconsistent with the safety or integrity of a Breakaway program.

Serious or repeated violations may result in removal from an activity or program.

Whether a refund is available following removal will depend on the circumstances and applicable refund policy.

14. Online Community Conduct

Breakaway Athletes or other Breakaway services may include moderated virtual sessions, community activities, challenges, or other interactive opportunities.

Participants may not use Breakaway services to:

  • Bully, threaten, harass, or intimidate another person;

  • Post hateful, sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise inappropriate material;

  • Share another person's private information without authorization;

  • Impersonate another person;

  • Solicit minors for inappropriate communications;

  • Engage in unlawful activity;

  • Attempt to circumvent safety or moderation controls; or

  • Use Breakaway platforms in a way that creates a safety risk.

Breakaway may remove content or restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect participants or enforce these Terms.

15. Photos, Video, and Media

Breakaway may photograph or record camps, clinics, events, and other activities.

Use of identifiable images or recordings of minor athletes for marketing or promotional purposes will be governed by applicable consent and media-release procedures.

Acceptance of these Terms does not automatically constitute consent to every promotional use of a minor's image.

Where applicable, parents or guardians will be provided a separate media permission or release.

16. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, Breakaway's website, branding, logos, training materials, videos, graphics, written resources, practice plans, development materials, downloads, curricula, and other original content are owned by or licensed to Breakaway Collective LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Purchasing a membership or program provides a limited right to use applicable materials for the participant's personal, noncommercial development.

You may not reproduce, sell, publish, distribute, sublicense, commercially exploit, or create competing products from Breakaway materials without written authorization.

Breakaway Athletes resources are intended for registered members and their families.

Members may use provided materials for their own personal development but may not:

  • Repackage Breakaway resources as their own product or service.
