REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY

This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to purchases made from Breakaway Collective LLC, doing business as Breakaway Girls Hockey (“Breakaway,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), including Breakaway Athletes memberships, camps, clinics, and other programs unless different terms are specifically disclosed at the time of purchase.
By completing a purchase or registration, you acknowledge and agree to the applicable refund and cancellation terms below.
1. Breakaway Athletes Membership
Breakaway Athletes is a recurring monthly subscription currently priced at $19.99 per month.
Subscription Payments Are Non-Refundable
All Breakaway Athletes subscription payments are final and non-refundable once processed, except where otherwise required by applicable law.
Breakaway does not provide full or partial refunds for:
Unused membership time;
Failure to access or use membership resources;
Partial months;
Forgotten cancellations; or
Cancellation after a recurring payment has already been processed.
Cancelling a membership prevents future renewal charges; it does not refund a payment that has already been processed.
2. Cancelling Your Breakaway Athletes Membership
Members may cancel their subscription at any time by emailing:
subscriptions@breakawaygirlshockey.com
The cancellation request should include the name and email address associated with the membership so we can identify the subscription.
Cancellation requests must be received before the next scheduled billing date to prevent the next recurring charge.
Once a cancellation has been processed, no additional monthly membership payments will be charged.
The member may continue to receive membership benefits through the end of the billing period already paid for, unless otherwise communicated by Breakaway.
We recommend retaining the cancellation confirmation for your records.
Breakaway will clearly disclose the automatic-renewal provision and cancellation method during enrollment. North Carolina law requires automatic-renewal clauses and cancellation instructions to be clearly and conspicuously disclosed. North Carolina General Assembly
3. Camps, Clinics & In-Person Programs
Breakaway commits significant resources in advance to secure ice, facilities, coaches, staffing, travel, equipment, and other expenses associated with our camps and programs.
For that reason, the following cancellation policy applies.
More Than 90 Days Before the Program
A participant who cancels more than 90 calendar days before the first scheduled day of the camp or program is eligible for a refund of the registration amount paid, less a $50 administrative fee.
90 Days or Less Before the Program
All camp and program registrations become non-refundable beginning 90 calendar days before the first scheduled day of the program.
4. Player Injury or Illness
This is one area where I'd give yourself some discretion rather than promising refunds.
If an athlete becomes unable to participate because of a documented injury or serious illness, the parent or guardian may contact Breakaway.
Breakaway may, at its sole discretion, offer a credit toward a future Breakaway program when circumstances and program availability allow.
Medical documentation may be requested.
A future credit is not guaranteed and does not create an entitlement to a cash refund.
This gives you the ability to take care of a family when something legitimate happens without undermining your 90-day policy.
5. Registration Transfers
Camp and program registrations may not be transferred to another athlete without prior written approval from Breakaway.
If Breakaway approves a transfer, additional registration requirements, waivers, or fees may apply.
6. No-Shows
Participants who fail to attend a registered camp, clinic, event, or program without prior cancellation are considered a no-show.
No refunds or credits will be issued for no-shows.
7. Breakaway-Cancelled Programs
If Breakaway cancels an entire camp, clinic, or program and does not provide a reasonable rescheduled or replacement program, registered participants will receive a refund of registration fees paid directly to Breakaway for the cancelled program.
Breakaway is not responsible for reimbursement of expenses paid to third parties, including:
Airfare;
Hotels or lodging;
Rental vehicles;
Meals;
Transportation; or
Other travel expenses.
Families traveling to a Breakaway program are encouraged to purchase refundable travel arrangements or appropriate travel insurance.
8. Weather, Facility Closures & Circumstances Beyond Our Control
Breakaway programs may be affected by severe weather, unsafe travel conditions, rink or facility closures, power outages, governmental restrictions, emergencies, or other circumstances outside Breakaway's reasonable control.
When possible, Breakaway will attempt to reschedule, relocate, modify, or provide an alternative for affected programming.
A schedule adjustment, change of ice time, change of coach, reasonable facility change, or modification to program activities does not automatically constitute cancellation of the program or entitle the participant to a refund.
If an entire program cannot reasonably be provided, Breakaway will determine the appropriate refund, credit, rescheduling, or other remedy based on the circumstances and applicable law.
9. Early Departure or Removal From a Program
No refund or prorated refund will be provided when an athlete:
Arrives late;
Leaves a program early;
Chooses not to participate in certain activities; or
Is removed from a program for serious or repeated violations of applicable athlete, parent, safety, or conduct policies.
Any decision regarding a discretionary credit will be made by Breakaway based on the individual circumstances.
10. Promotional Pricing & Discounts
Early Bird pricing, Founding Athlete pricing, discount codes, scholarships, promotional rates, and other special offers have no cash value and cannot be retroactively applied to previous purchases.
If a registration is refunded, the refund will be based on the amount actually paid, not the program's standard retail price.
11. Processing Fees
Payment-processing, transaction, platform, or administrative fees may be non-refundable to the extent permitted by applicable law and as disclosed at the time of purchase.
Where a refund is approved, Breakaway may deduct applicable non-refundable fees when permitted.
12. Duplicate or Incorrect Charges
The non-refundable policies above do not prevent a customer from contacting Breakaway regarding a legitimate billing error, duplicate charge, unauthorized transaction, or other payment issue.
Please contact us promptly so we can investigate the transaction.
13. Chargebacks
We ask customers to contact Breakaway first if they believe a billing error has occurred or believe they are entitled to a refund under this policy.
Nothing in this policy limits any rights a consumer may have under applicable law or through their payment-card issuer.
14. Exceptions Required by Law
Nothing in this Refund & Cancellation Policy is intended to eliminate refund, cancellation, or consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.
If applicable law requires a refund or other remedy despite a provision of this policy, Breakaway will comply with that requirement.
